TIKAL MAYA TEMPLE TOUR

Discover Tikal, one of the most impressive ancient Maya cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once one of the largest cities of the Maya Classic Period, Tikal is famous for its towering temples, impressive plazas, and remarkable history.

Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, the site is also home to abundant wildlife, including howler monkeys, spider monkeys, toucans, parrots, and many other tropical species.

Your adventure begins with an approximately 20-minute drive from San Ignacio to the Belize–Guatemala border. After completing border formalities, enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tikal National Park.

Once at Tikal, your guide will take you through the ancient city as you explore its temples, plazas, palaces, and other fascinating structures while learning about Maya history and culture.

After exploring the site, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch at a restaurant near Tikal National Park before beginning the return journey to Belize.
