JUNGLE WATERFALLS & RIVER PONTOON TOUR

  Escape into the heart of western Belize for a relaxing and unforgettable journey along the Upper Macal River, surrounded by pristine jungle, cascading waterfalls, and natural swimming holes.

  Located in the Vaca Plateau region of the Cayo District, approximately one hour from San Ignacio, this unique adventure takes you deep into the Maya Mountains and Upper Macal River Valley for a one-of-a-kind jungle river pontoon experience.

  Climb aboard and settle in for a leisurely journey of approximately six miles along the Upper Macal River. Surrounded by forest-covered riverbanks and dramatic jungle scenery, you'll make your way to beautiful waterfalls and secluded swimming spots that are accessible from the river.

  Keep your eyes open along the way! The surrounding forest is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, and you may be fortunate enough to spot tapirs, river otters, monkeys, toucans, and other tropical birds and animals.

  During your adventure, we'll visit three beautiful waterfalls, each offering a completely different experience.

  RIO FRIO WATERFALL

  A spectacular waterfall with an approximately 60-foot drop into a beautiful natural pool. This peaceful jungle setting is our designated stop for lunch, swimming, and relaxation. Cool off beneath the falls, enjoy the surroundings, or simply sit back and take in the scenery.

• THE TWIN FALLS

  Fed by waters flowing from the Mountain Pine Ridge area, the impressive Twin Falls drop approximately 70 feet through a dramatic landscape surrounded by lush vegetation and towering cliffs. It's one of the most picturesque stops along the journey and a wonderful place to appreciate the untouched beauty of the Upper Macal River Valley.

  THE UNNAMED WATERFALL (SEASONAL)

  Perhaps the most unique stop of the day, this ever-changing waterfall has been naturally shaped over time by flowing water and mineral deposits.

  Here, a series of smaller cascades creates a beautiful natural playground. Feel the cool water beneath your feet as you carefully explore the cascading formations and make your way from one miniature waterfall to the next.

  With its combination of pontoon cruising, waterfalls, swimming, wildlife, jungle scenery, and a freshly prepared lunch, this is the perfect adventure for guests looking to experience the natural beauty of Belize at a relaxed pace.
